"Spades let you dig up placed Seedlings and Saplings"
Spades are one of the main 4 types of tools in the game. They're used to pick back up any planted Tree Acorn, Shrub Sapling or Seeds - as well as digging up Snow. Nothing is lost by picking them back up.
There are 3 different spades in the game, each with their own durability:
Wood Spade
Stone Spade
Honeycore Spade
Spade
