The Dream Bee is a Tier 2 Social Bee species found by cross-breeding.

It is the first species found from cross-breeding that requires a player-specific action to be occuring.

When asking Beenjamin for a hint he says the following:
I have to admit you're doing better than I thought. I'll let you in on a secret. Dream bees DO exist - the trick is you just have to make sure you're asleep when the offspring are formed. If you tell anyone, I will deny it..
