Each game hour in APICO is 1 real minute, meaning a full day is 24 minutes. Players can speed up the passing of time by using a Bench (1 game hour becomes 6s) or a Bed (1 game hour becomes 3s). Days are split into 4 parts - Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Night.
Dawn
Dawn starts at 3am, and ends at 7am. During this time there is a slight orange glow to the game, and god rays can be seen falling from the left. Crepuscular bees will be active during this time.
Day
Day time starts at 7am, and ends at 5pm. During this time there's no special effects to the overworld. Diurnal bees will be active during this time.
Dusk
Dusk starts at 5pm, and ends at 9pm. During this time there is a slight reddish glow to the game, and god rays can be seen falling from the right. Crepuscular bees will be active during this time.
