"Made yourself a Sawmill now, huh? Look at you go! Good thing you can't automate creativity or I'd be out of a job..."
Beetrix is a talented carpenter who lives in Port APICO. They grew up with the player when they were younger, and will comment on the player's progress through various crafting machines as they progress in the game.
Beetrix is also the only NPC that sells a "free" item, as they sell the Workbench for free in-case the player softlocks themselves.
Like most NPCs, Beetrix can be picked up with a

| After getting Waterproofing | Waterproof is super handy, you can use it to make yourself all sorts of containers to store the Resin you get from Treetaps! You can even make an Infuser to start treating your wood with that Resin. |
| After getting Infused Wood Planks | With treated wood you can start making clockwork machines! Treated Wooden Sticks and Glue from your bees' Propolis can make some basic cogs to upgrade your Sawbench. |
