"It is said in ages past, the Hivemother blessed the struggling islanders of the Archipelago with the Bee, heralding in a new era of prosperity and peace. The "Hermit" bee is an exceptionally rare example of these prehistoric bees."

The Hermit Bee is a Tier 3 Social Bee species found by cross-breeding.

The Hermit's cross-breeding criteria are unique in the fact that it can only be found by having no other active hives nearby.

Book2 Item.pngHints

The Apiarist's Almanac gives the following hint:
A lonely species that can't stand to be near other bees. Only active at night and quite aggressive, thanks to its Caliginosus and Caligo ancestry..

When asking Dr Beenjamin BhD for a hint he says the following:
Hermit bees are a Misty-Murky hybrid that don't like my other bees being near them. They're definitely my favourite species of bee!
