Just like in real life, bees in APICO love flowers!

In the game you come across over 13 different species of flowers - some naturally found in different Biomes, others can only be found by Cross-Pollination through active beehives. While the first flowers you find don't have any special uses, later flowers have their own special effects like keeping bees up late at night or acting as Trait buffs!

Each flower is split between 3 "Tiers" to help categorise them. It has been mentioned in the Roadmap that there will be more flowers added in future, along with butterflies.

Discovering all flower species will unlock in the overview page of Abbee's Folio.

Flower effects are also temporary and will not affect a hive's offspring. You also only need a single flower for an effect and they do not stack with multiple flowers.

Tier 1

Tier 1 is made up of flowers that you'll find naturally occurring in the Forests.

Tier 2

Tier 2 is made up of flowers only found through cross-breeding, as well as some native species found in the Swamps.

Tier 3

Tier 3 is made up of flowers only found through cross-breeding, as well as some native species found in the Tundra.

Useful flower sets

If you are looking for Apicola production efficiency, to speed up your Cross-Breeding or rehabilitation efforts, here's a few sets for these situations. Remember that Traits cannot be increased or lowered beyond the maximum or minimum values and that working Bees will be buffed by all the flowers in their radius - set up the environment carefully!

Productivity

To maximize levels of Honey and Special Produce made in Apiaries, use following flowers:

Rehabiliation

To maximize the number of offspring, use these flowers inside the radius of a Swarmer:

Cross-breeding

These flowers used inside the radius of a Swarmer will maximize chances of new species being discovered:
